Blue-grey with linen
One blue-grey pumpkin and two pale minis make a low indoor group.
A low basket groups four minis without turning them into a piled mound.
The basket edge gathers the eye while the single layer keeps every stem visible. It should feel loosely filled rather than packed.
If a fruit cannot be lifted without moving the whole pile, remove a piece or choose a wider container.
Check the basket base and remove any sharp or loose parts.
Fit a dry washable tray inside rather than filling the basket with damp foliage.
Arrange four minis in a single loose layer.
Leave the stems visible and make each fruit easy to lift.
Remove the tray regularly to inspect the fruit and dry the basket if necessary.
A shallow bowl with a suitable dry liner can replace the basket.
Do not force more fruit into a basket that is too small.
Keep the display sheltered and away from direct sun. Check for soft spots, leakage and unstable placement. Remove damaged fruit promptly; painted or carved display fruit is not for eating.
