Leave the middle of the table open

Four minis trace a loose circle while leaving the serving space in the middle.

Original scene illustration: Leave the middle of the table open
Illustrated concept, not a photograph or a scale drawing. Use a broad, level tabletop; fruit must not sit at the table edge or on a hot serving area.

Why this arrangement works

The centre is defined by the space left empty rather than by a tall object. Matching mini sizes makes the circle easy to read.

Adjust it to your space

Set the positions after choosing the serving dishes. The circle can become two loose pairs without losing the idea.

Put it together

  1. 01

Mark the area needed for plates and serving dishes before placing fruit.

  2. 02

Set a washable cloth under the arrangement.

  3. 03

Place four minis around the outside of the central serving area.

  4. 04

Turn the stems outwards and vary the gaps slightly.

  5. 05

Remove the fruit during hot food service or when more table space is needed.

Make it your own

Two pairs at opposite ends work better on an oval table.

Use a smaller trio on a separate tray if the table is crowded.

Keep it looking good

Keep the display sheltered and away from direct sun. Check for soft spots, leakage and unstable placement. Remove damaged fruit promptly; painted or carved display fruit is not for eating.
