A tabletop trio
Three mini pumpkins turn an ordinary tray into a simple autumn centerpiece.
Four paper name cards and four minis become simple table markers.
Repeating the same small shape links the places without creating a large centrepiece. The cards carry the information, so the pumpkin needs no writing.
Keep the cards freestanding and separate from food; move them to a side table if the setting feels crowded.
Fold four pieces of reused paper into small freestanding cards.
Write a name or a simple symbol on each card.
Place one mini beside each card without piercing the fruit.
Check that glasses and cutlery still have room.
Collect the cards separately before clearing the table and inspect the fruit before reuse.
Use a drawing instead of a name for a family activity.
For a smaller table, group the cards and minis on a side table.
Keep the display sheltered and away from direct sun. Check for soft spots, leakage and unstable placement. Remove damaged fruit promptly; painted or carved display fruit is not for eating.
