A little color on the minis
A supervised painting concept for fruit that will stay decorative.
A small craft session with loose paper decorations and intact pumpkins.
The paper is the temporary accent; the pumpkin surface stays intact and uncovered.
Use a few leaf shapes with space between them. A thick paper bed makes it harder to see dampness beneath the fruit.
Set three clean, dry pumpkins on a tray and protect the work surface.
Cut simple leaf shapes from reused paper; an adult should handle sharp scissors.
Place the paper around the pumpkins rather than coating or piercing the fruit.
Keep the arrangement indoors and remove loose paper before moving the tray.
Use intact reusable fabric leaves if paper is not practical.
For younger children, tear paper shapes rather than using scissors.
Keep the display sheltered and away from direct sun. Check for soft spots, leakage and unstable placement. Remove damaged fruit promptly; painted or carved display fruit is not for eating.
