The little doorstep
Three pumpkins, one pot and enough breathing room to let every shape stand out.
Balanced groups at the door, with a little variation to keep the arrangement natural.
The repeated medium pumpkins connect the two sides; slightly different angles keep the entrance from feeling rigid.
Treat the two groups as separate footprints. Their combined width never includes the walking route between them.
Measure the usable corners on both sides of the entrance, keeping the route between them clear.
Set one medium pumpkin beside each planter, with equal clear space from the door.
Add one flattened heirloom and two minis to each side.
Vary the angle or spacing slightly, then open the door and walk the route carrying a bag.
Use only one side if two groups would narrow the approach.
Choose similar sizes on each side; exact color matching is optional.
Keep the display sheltered and away from direct sun. Check for soft spots, leakage and unstable placement. Remove damaged fruit promptly; painted or carved display fruit is not for eating.
